About the Artist
CRAIG NUGENT is a visual artist, designer, writer, musician and teacher with an MFA in fine art from the University of Dundee. He also has some unfinished business with an earlier degree in literature temporarily abandoned. His work is held in major collections such as; The Lighthouse, Glasgow, Dundee University, and the Pittenweem International Arts Festival. In 2003 he won the Bernard Cooper Memorial Prize for printmaking for his trademark sugar-lift and aquatint etchings. He ceased all involvement in art in 2007 in order to look after his son full-time. In 2015 he built a relief press and began making prints again which culminated in the founding of the Finnoch Press.
